“La Résistance” plays over the speakers as the number one contenders to the Tag Team Championships appear, Sylvan Grenier and René Duprée, accompanied by Marie-Claude. Grenier and Dupree wave the France and Québec flags, respectively, as they make their way down the ramp and into the ring.










The crowd then pops as the champions make their way out, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin! Benjamin hops up and down, pumping the crowd up as Haas slides into the ring, standing across from Grenier and hands his belt over.



Referee Brian Hebner calls for the bell, and this exhibition contest is underway with a lock-up! They battle for position but break at a stalemate. Grenier then goes for a cheap shot, but Charlie goes around him, hooking his waist and takes him over with a sky German suplex! Sylvan rebounds back up to his feet and stumbles back into a corner where Haas is right on him, meeting him with boots to the mid section. Grenier then reverses the Irish whip and sends Charlie crashing into the corner back first, and then charges in after him; however, Charlie gets his boots right up in Sylvan’s face, and Grenier goes back bumping. As Sylvan staggers, Haas comes up behind him with a bulldog, planting him face first into the mat and goes for the cover, but Dupree is up on the apron, distracting Hebner just long enough for Grenier to kick out!

Benjamin races over, pulling Dupree off of the apron and they get into it, but Hebner hops to the outside breaking it up immediately! As Haas is distracted by what’s going down on the outside, Grenier comes up from behind him with a sledgehammer to the back, followed up by a STIFF closed fist between the eyes! As Haas goes falling back into a corner, Grenier measures him and DRILLS him with a football punt to his inner thigh! Sylvan then pulls Haas out of the corner with an exploder suplex, and Hebner slides back into the ring, getting a two count!

Sylvan then mounts Haas and begins to hammer away on him with closed fists until Hebner pulls him away, giving him a stern warning. Charlie crawls towards the ropes, shaking his head out, and Rene comes in for a cheap shot, lacing a STIFF right hand across his jaw! Dupree then begins to shuffle from side to side with the French shuffle, but Shelton Benjamin comes racing in, hops onto the barricade and runs along it, diving off with a cross body onto Dupree, taking him crashing down to the floor to a pop from the crowd!

Back in the ring, Grenier is right back on Haas, working him into the ropes with right hands, but Haas holds on and reverses the whip, pulling Sylvan towards him and takes him over with a swinging belly-to-belly suplex! Charlie pops up to his feet, hopping up and down and balling his fists up, going right to work on Sylvan, taking him over with a hip toss, followed up by a right hand to the jaw and a whip into the ropes, rolling him up with a drop-toe-hold, and then locks in the Haas of Pain!

The crowd goes WILD as Sylvan screams out loudly, and Marie-Claude is quick to hop onto the apron, yelling something in French at Hebner! As soon as Hebner turns to Marie-Claude and orders her off the apron, Sylvan begins to tap out wildly!

Back on the outside, Rene fires Benjamin shoulder first into the ring steps and slides into the ring with one of the flags, taking a wild swing at Haas! However, Charlie ducks around him with a German suplex to the pop from the crowd! As Marie-Claude is successful in keeping Hebner occupied, Sylvan pulls himself up and grabs the flag, drilling Haas across the back with it! Charlie stumbles around in a circle until walking into a HUGE double spine buster! Marie-Claude descends from the apron, allowing Hebner to drop down to make the count just as Rene slides to the outside, and count the one, two, three!


“La Résistance” plays back over the speakers as Les Séparatistes have gotten the better of the champions for the third time in a row!
