“Evolve” plays on the speakers as Nick Dinsmore comes out for his third and final match of the night, the celebrated King of the Ring final! Dinsmore has left his towel in the back as well as his Evolution Tshirt, taking a breath and then stepping onto the apron. Dinsmore wipes his feet on the outside before going through the ropes and waiting on his opponent.

That opponent comes charging onto the ramp with Dope’s “Die MF Die” sending the crowd into a frenzy. AJ Styles stands at the edge of the stage and shuffles back and forth, glaring down at Dinsmore and getting ready to rush the ring when he’s LEVELED from behind by a double axe handle from Adonis Jordan!! Jordan grabs AJ by the head and hurls him into the crowd divider. Adonis circles around him and then looks in the ring to Dinsmore, putting a thumbs up, and then down and goes to plant a HARD shot on the back of Styles’ skull. Adonis picks him back up by the hair and drags him to the ring, giving the ref threats if he rings the bell. Jordan then gives AJ one last punch across the mouth and rolls him in for Dinsmore to finish.

Nick looks at Jordan, then to the laid out Styles, and back to his teammate, yelling at him to leave the area. Jordan gives a knowing nod and then backs away from the ringside, waving Styles off before leaving. Referee Mike Chioda goes to attend to Styles as Dinsmore has his back to him. Nick stops, looks down and then raises an eyebow, breaking into a smirk then a grin as he goes to help check on Styles himself. AJ’s eyes are almost crossed from his two earlier matches and the earlier assault. Nick pulls him to his feet and then punts him in the stomach, hoisting him up and CRASHING into the canvas with a NickNack!
Chioda refuses to give this count, ordering Dinsmore away and reminding him that this match has NOT started yet. Nick gets up and shoves Chioda in the chest and gets one for his OWN troubles, as Mike has had enough of Evolution and the REST of the crew this night!

Dinsmore backs away and then circles around Styles. He pulls him up to his feet and holds him aloft, making sure he can stand, and then looks to Chioda to start the match. Mike shakes his head and signals for the bell to end this quick. Dinsmore winks at him and turns to begin the assault on Styles and gets a hard slap on the ear from AJ!! Styles sends him flailing and follows him in with another slap, this one across his chest. Dinsmore has lost his sense of balance at this point and puts one hand on his ear, trying to get his bearings. Styles sees him bend forward and goes up airborne with a Pele kick, striking Nick in the base of his skull and flooring him. Styles falls backwards and then goes for a quick pin on Dinsmore, but Nick has enough presence to kick out at 2! Styles goes right on the assault, tossing Nick over with an armdrag, and another, and before doing a 3rd, yanks him in with an STO, crashing him to the mat. Nick rolls over onto his stomach so he can’t be pinned by this one as Styles gets up to his feet and plants a HARD kick on the back of his neck.

AJ gets back up, in a rage and full of a second wind from his night of fighting! Styles grabs Dinsmore and tosses him off of the ropes, and rockets to the other side, springboarding off and nailing Nick with a flying forearm. Nick hits the canvas from this one and AJ drops down for another pin attempt, getting a 1…2….TWOOOO count from the crowd. Styles rolls off and then leaps over him, bringing him over in an Oklahoma Roll and locking his hands in. Styles gets a one, but realizes that he’s played right into Dinsmore’s hands, as Nick adjusts himself in the hold and brings him around in a small package of his own for a 1, 2, and another 2 count only!

Styles goes back to his feet and laces a chop across Nick’s chest, and then backs into the ropes, coming off with a head full of steam as he goes for a cross body on Dinsmore. Nick catches him, and in that split second, adjusts and pops Styles backwards with a head and arms suplex, arching himself as he crashes Styles down! Dinsmore looks over at the ref, and gives him a nod, and rolls back around on Styles, pulling his leg down for a 1….2…and ONLY a 2 as there’s still some fight left in Styles yet!

Dinsmore goes to choke that very life OUT of him with an Indian Deathlock, tying in Styles legs with his own and arching back , grabbing AJ’s chin on the way and pulling up on it. Styles reaches for the ropes and winces, just missing them. Dinsmore pulls harder on the hold and gets nothing, as Styles pulls his hands back in and locks them together to keep from tapping out! Nick’s hands slip low, and start to choke AJ out, when Chioda reaches around and breaks the hold, pulling back on Dinsmore’s fingers until he does.

Nick gets it broken and goes right to his feet screaming at Chioda and going nose to nose with him. Chioda warns Nick again that if he breaks the hold, he might as well put the crown on AJ’s head HIMSELF. Nick puts his hands up and walks over where Styles is, but AJ goes and gives him a punch to the ribs for his troubles. Dinsmore bends forward into another shot from Styles, and lifts a knee right into his chin to stop the rally. Nick then Irish whips AJ along and catches him as he returns with a sidewalk slam, watching as Styles’ arches himself up in agony. Dinsmore then plants a knee in his back and wrenches back with a rear chinlock, trying to pull Styles completely out of socket. AJ starts to move to one knee, but gets pushed back down to the mat by Nick’s weight advantage. Styles forces his way up as the fans go to their feet, cheering him on! Dinsmore looks from one side to the other as his knee slips off and AJ gets to one knee then to his feet while in a crouch. Nick keeps the chinlock on him from behind as AJ moves himself to the ropes and wraps his leg in them. Nick says to hell with it and YANKS him off, as Styles sends an elbow into his ribcage. This pauses Dinsmore for a slight second, giving AJ enough time to grab hold of his arms, use the 2nd rope to spring himself airborne and land behind Dinsmore, smacking him into the canvas with a Inverted DDT! Nick flattens out from the move as Styles crawls over him and pulls back on one leg….getting the crowd aflame as he has a 1….2…..

TWOOOOO count only as Dinsmore shoves his shoulder out at the last second! Styles lifts his head up, wondering just what possibly he can do to finish this now. He rolls back and stares at Nick’s body, pulling himself to his feet and going right back on the assault. Styles backs up and climbs to the 2nd rope, perching and then goes to the top. Nick glances up and sees Styles there, and yanks Chioda up and into the ropes, causing AJ to lose his balance and come down HARD on the top turnbuckle. Nick moves into the corner and climbs up to the 2nd turnbuckle, perching for a second and then goes up one more and wraps his arms around AJ’s head and shoulder, bringing him off the top with a spinning front suplex that crashes BOTH men into the canvas! Styles lands hard on the mat and just lays there, unmoving, as does Dinsmore. Chioda looks at both men and begins his count.

1…..

2…..

3….

4……Both men start to stir a bit, moving to their knees.

5……Dinsmore reaches the ropes first, using them to get up.

6…..Styles pushes up on his hands and knees, trying to clear his head from the suplex.

7…..

8…..both men finally make it to their feet, looking at the other and shaking their heads as to know what’s going to have to happen now.

Dinsmore goes for the first feint, whipping Styles’ leg out from him and snatching up on the other one quickly, He pulls it into a figure four motion and slowly goes to turn AJ over. Styles pushes up on his arms and refuses to go. Dinsmore gets him set into Texas Cloverleaf position and fights his way into the hold, as Styles screams out in agony from it. Nick shakes off his own sweat as Styles arches himself upwards, trying to not be set down fully. Dinsmore yells back at AJ to save his career and tap out! Styles answers with a resounding “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!” and gets up to his side, lessening the pressure on it! Dinsmore lets go of the hold, knowing he’s going to have to knock out AJ in order to get this win and punts him in the chest. Nick then snatches his leg, getting ready to bring him over with a NickNack that rings true, crashing Styles into the canvas. Chioda drops down for the pin and gives him the 1….2….and 3 count!!!


Dinsmore lets go of the hold as Chioda happens to glance up, seeing AJ’s back foot on the bottom rope. Nick then goes to his knees, completely exhausted from this war and waves off Chioda’s arm raise. He goes on his hands and knees, waiting for his theme to play. After a few seconds, Dinsmore lifts his head, looking around and wondering where the bell is. Nick looks up and Chioda waves him off, saying that the match WILL continue.

Nick is irate at this point, threatening to knock out Styles AND Chioda for this one as he moves over to where AJ is. Nick pulls him to his feet by the back of his pants and rams his head down under his arm, getting set for one last finisher. Dinsmore backs up and sets in the middle of the ring but AJ drops to his knees and BLASTS Dinsmore in the shin with a hard kick. Nick bends forward as Styles drops an elbow across the back of his neck, sending him to his knees. AJ then steps forward, putting his legs around Dinsmore’s arms and hoists him up in piledriver style. Styles takes a breath and yanks him up, pulling him high enough to drop true with a STYLES CLASH!!! AJ goes to fall forward but Dinsmore kicks his legs in midair, coming down to his feet and going to power AJ up for a backdrop. Styles has his legs still locked around his arms and forces Dinsmore down to the mat, pinning his shoulders in a sunset flip for a 1….2….and 3 count!!!

Dinsmore rolls out a split second too late and takes a wild swing, missing everything! Styles rolls out of the ring along with Chioda as Nick is irate at this finish! Chioda then raises AJ Styles arm, celebrating his win and the 2004 crowning of AJ Styles as the KING…OF THE RING!!!
