Subject: Backstage with the US Champ

~When we return from the commercial break, we go backstage where Maria, Smackdown!’s newest backstage correspondent, stands by.~







~Maria has a huge smile spread across her face as she stares forward, just looking into the camera and not saying a word. We then hear a producer in the background say “you’re on”, and she nods her head. However, she still doesn’t speak, simply stares into the camera with a big smile.~













-After a few moments, the crowd pops as John Cena leans his head in front of her, and then waves his hand in front of her face. She then turns her head and looks up at him, still smiling brightly.-


-John perks a brow and waits for her to speak… but nothing. He motions for her to start, and still, she nods but says nothing. He shakes his head and places his hands on his hips, speaking into her mic.- “Edge, Christian, Carlito… YOU CAN’T SEE ME! And you can’t see Matt Hardy, plain and simple. Matt Hardy? I’ll see you in the main event. But for now… Chaaaaaain Gaaaaaaang… it looks like we’ve got a decision to make. It’s real simple, we’ve got two choices. It’s go to Raw… or stay on Smackdown!... what… should we… do.”

-He shrugs his shoulders.- “On ONE hand, Smackdown! has been home. On the OTHER hand, I’ve got a legend, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, knocking down my door. So, Chain Gang, what do you say?”













-Jesse Hart then walks up onto the other side of Maria, also speaking into her mic to a round of boos from the fans.- “You’re asking THEM? Cena, that’s your first mistake, they don’t know shit.” -The fans BOOMS with boos.- “What you need to be doing, is asking ME what to do.”


Cena: “Oh REALLY now?”

Hart: Really.

Cena: “Ok then, ‘Godfather’, Mr. World Champion… what would you have me do? Seriously, I’m curious.”

Hart: “You know something, John… you owe me. If it weren’t for me, you, Orton, Jordan, and the rest of your Stampede class wouldn’t have MADE it out of Calgary. The way I see it, Orton has no loyalty, but you? You know who made you, and you’ll do the right thing.”

-This fires Cena up, and he moves closer to Hart.- “You made me? Oh NO, you didn’t. I think it’s time to step up off of cloud nine and come back to reality, Jesse, because you didn’t make John Cena, I didn’t make John Cena, these PEOPLE made John Cena!” -The crowd pops loudly as he continues.- “You can tell yourself what you want and maybe, just maybe, somebody will believe you. But the bottom line is that real recognizes real, and these people know that in John Cena, what you see it what you get. I don’t kiss ass for NOBODY! I dress the way I want to dress, I talk the way I wanna talk, and I do what I wanna do, and these people see that John Cena ain’t no phony… they see that John Cena ain’t no… Jesse Hart.”

-Hart’s eyes widen.- “You know that little voice in the back of your head, you’d better listen to it because YOU don’t talk to ME like that, understood? The bottom line, JOHN, is that I’m Jesse Hart, and you’re an EMBARRASSMENT! There’s only one reason and one reason alone why I want you to stay on Smackdown!, and it’s THAT!” -He taps the US title that sits across Cena’s shoulder.- “But, if you drop it tonight to Matt Hardy, you’d be doing yourself a favour if you take Ric up on his offer, because after this war is all said and done, you’re going to be a home side casualty.”

Cena: “I’ll consider myself warned, then. But there’s only one thing. I WON’T be droppin’ this strap tonight, so if it happens to turn up on the red show, don’t blame Ric Flair, don’t blame John Cena… blame YOURSELF!”

-John then stares the champ down before waving his hand in front of his face to a pop from the crowd and walks off, leaving Hart behind, steaming, with Maria looking up at him.-

Maria: “Hi, I’m Maria, Smackdown! backstage correspondent, and I’m standing by with none other than the United States Champion, John Cena!”

~She stands there holding the mic with a big ass smile, and Hart looks down on her in disbelief before walking off himself, and we go to a commercial break.~
