I Spit in the Face… Of People Who Don’t Want to be Cool!







Carlito “Caribbean” Cool is the first man out for this Unites States Championship #1 Contenders 6 Pack Challenge match. He makes his way down the red carpet with a big ass grin, this being his first WrestleMania, and he points and laughs at some of the crazy fans along the way to the ring. Once inside, he takes a mic and begins to speak.


Carlito: “Wow… so this is WrestleMania. Bright lights, big matches, and Hollywood women… wow. Look at you all, you’re all so happy to be at da biggest WrestleMania of all time, WrestleMania 5!” ~He nods his head with a big ass grin.~ “You cheer, you boo, you drink, some of you a lot, and you, well… you’re not cool.” ~The crowd boos as he shakes his head with disgust.~ “But you know what IS cool? Carlito winning dis 6 Pack Challenge and beating John Cena for da United States Championship… now Dat… Da’s cool!” ~Carlito nods his head with a big ass grin.~





ONE OF A KIND!







Carlito’s grin soon fades as RVD makes his way down to the ring, sliding inside and backing Carlito off as he thumbs to himself while the crowd chants “Rob… Van… Dam!”





“You Think You Know Me… You Think You Know Me…”







“Metallingus” by Alter Bridge plays over the speakers, and the crowd soon BOOMS with boos as Edge bounces out onto the top of the stage. He makes his way down the ramp and slides into the ring from under the bottom rope, surveying the fans around the arena who boo him loudly.









The fans boos soon turn to loud cheers as “Whatever” signals the arrival of Chris Benoit! Benoit makes his way to ringside on his toes and slides into the ring, forcing both Edge and Carlito back into a corner and gives them the throat slash sign!





We Lie, We Cheat, We Steeeeeeal!








Los Guerreros make their way out onto the top of the stage, sans Low Rider. Eddie is nothing but business tonight as he makes his way down the stage and to the ring, circling it and staring inside at Benoit, his eyes locked on him.


Once the five known men in this match are at ringside, the crowd gets on Edge, chanting “YOU SCREWED MATT! YOU SCREWED MATT!” repeatedly, and to their surprise…











Ooooooh Yeeeeeeah!






… “Live for the Moment” blasts over the speakers, and the fans go absolutely WILD for Matt Hardy Version 1 himself! He storms out from the back, holding the V1 sign above his head as he races down to the ring, sliding inside and goes straight for Edge, taking him down to the mat with a double leg takedown and goes to town!


Referee Chad Patten calls for the bell as all of the other men go to a corner while Hardy beats the holy hell out of Edge! He mounts him and unloads with a series of lefts and rights, knocking the back of Edge’s head into the mat with every blow. Edge is trying hard to cover up, but his head is just snapping back with each and every blow. Months and months of fury flowing from Hardy as Edge is at his mercy. Matt pulls him to his feet by his hair and fires him across, ducking his head. Edge counters with a stiff boot to the chest that straightens Hardy out and charges in for a Spear, but Matt side steps it and sends Edge crashing into Benoit! As soon as Edge rebounds back, Matt shoves him in a corner and stomps a mud hole into him until Edge falls to his ass. Matt then back steps and comes roaring in with a vicious knee to Edge's face!

After Hardly drills Edge in the face with the knee, he takes a step aside and RVD comes charging into the corner delivering a brutal seated dropkick into Edge's midsection! Edge falls to the mat trying to slide out of the ring to regroup. Carlito takes the tag in and comes to his buddy's aid, butting chests with Hardy and pointing in his face, telling him that "Dat... Da's not cool! THIS is cool!" and then SLAPS Hardy across the face! Matt's head flings to the side, and he comes back with two fists full of Carlito's fro! Carlito bounces his feet on the mat, now begging off, yelling out "Not da hair! Nat da hair!" Hardy then takes a huge step and sends Carlito Cool flying across the ring by the hair to a HUGE pop from the crowd!

Carlito takes the limber tail rushing over to tag Benoit so the Rapid Wolverine can deal with V1. Benoit stops in front of Hardy and points over to Guerrero, telling him to tag in. Hardy nods his head and goes over to Eddie, but Eddie hops off the apron, turning his back to the ring to a round of boos from the fans. Benoit glares at Eddie and without a moment's hesitation charges out of the ring after Guerrero and starts to attack him with a viscious assault of punches and chops. While the ref is trying to get Benoit back in the ring, Edge charges Matt from behind with a dirty chop block! He then grabs him by the hair and starts to land some stiff rights to the side of Matt's head! Patten slides back into the ring and forces Edge back to a corner. While the ref is distracted, Chavo mugs Benoit from behind, sending him crashing head first into the ring post! Eddie is quick to roll Benoit into the ring and tag Hardy on the back to a round of boos from the fans. As Chris lies on his back, Eddie uses the ropes to spring himself inside with a rolling senton, covering for a close two count before Benoit kicks out!

Benoit gets back up to his knees trying to shake the cobwebs from having his head rammed into the ring post. He starts pulling himself up to his feet. When Eddie comes charging at him, Benoit quickly nails him with a kick go the gut, trying to keep him at bay. Throwing a few rights before Eddie rakes his eyes to end the assault. Eddie shoves Benoit into a corner and backs off to the other side, trying to take the corner pad off to distract the official. Meanwhile, Edge wraps the tag rope across Benoit's throat, and Carlito enters the ring, putting the boots to the odds on favorite in this match! This causes Hardy and RVD to rush the ring, and the ref has his hands full trying to keep everyone out!

Meanwhile, Benoit begins to fight his way free, drilling Eddie with a chop, and then back elbows Edge off the apron and to the floor. He then ducks around Eddie with a HUGE German suplex before making the desperate tag in to Rob Van Dam! RVD leaps the top rope with a head of steam kicking Eddie in the ribs sending him back into the corner! RVD then starts to drive his shoulder into Eddie's midsection once, twice, he then flips back and charges in with a third brutal shoulder into Eddie's midsection! As Eddie staggers out of the corner and falls onto his back, RVD executes a beautiful split legged moonsault onto Eddie going for the quick cover! Guerrero kicks out and rolls to a corner, tagging in Carlito.

Before he can even enter the ring, RVD pulls on the ropes, flipping the rookie in feet over head! As soon as he rebounds up to his feet, RVD goes for a thrust kick that gets blocked, but he connects with the reverse, flooring him! Van Dam now comes barreling in off the ropes with the Rolling Thunder to a pop from the crowd and keeps the momentum going, drilling Edge in the knees with a low dropkick that sends him crashing to the floor! RVD is pumped up and the crowd is loving it! As RVD makes his way over to Carlito, Carlito quickly grabs the front of his singlet and rams him into the corner and then quickly goes to roll him up, putting his feet on the ropes for extra leverage, but Hardy shoves them out, saving RVD! Right back on their feet, Van Dam floors Carlito with a spinning heel kick and then springs up to the top ropes, going for the 5 Star! However, Edge is back up and he shakes the ropes, crotching RVD up top! Carlito quickly grabs Van Dam by the head and takes him off the ropes and into the mat with a VICIOUS DDT, covering up for the one, two, and three count, eliminating Mr. PPV!

Chris Benoit comes into the ring quickly after RVD is eliminated and takes Carlito down with a high impact clothesline! He then begins putting the boots to Carlito, no wasted motion. As Carlito moves into the corner trying to cover up, Benoit pulls him up to his feet and begins to deliver a flurry of head butts to Carlito's shoulder and head! The crowd gets behign the Crippler as he turns on a dime and blasts Edge with a chop as he enters the ring. He begins to trade off with chops to Edge and Carlito before taking Edge over with a snap suplex. He then kicks Carlito in the gut and takes him over with a snap suplex, dropping him straight on top of Edge! As Edge stumbles to his feet and to the ropes, Benoit blasts him over the top with a clothesline and then turns on a dime, pulling Carlito face first into the mat with a Crippler Crossface, pulling back on it HARD until the rookie is forced to tap out, losing for the first time!

However, before Hardy can rush the ring, Eddie jumps Benoit from behind and goes to town, slamming him into a corner and hammers away on him. Eddie then takes a step back and calls Benoit on, but Benoit can't go because Chavo keeps hold of his leg! As Benoit attempts to kick free from Chavo, Eddie rakes him in the eyes and takes him over with a HUGE Brainbuster, jamming him straight down on his neck! Benoit is laid out on the mat holding his neck in pain, he's rolling around as though he could be hurt.

Guerrero shows no mercy what-so-ever and pulls him up, taking him over with s snap suplex! He pops his hips and rolls through, taking Benoit over with a second, and then a third. Guerrero is feeling it now and he gives a shoulder shimmy before going up top, getting ready to put his former best friend away and out of WrestleMania! Eddie leaps off with the Frogsplash but rolls through with it as Benoit moves out of the way. He then goes for a clothesline, but Chris ducks it and takes him over with a German suplex! Now it's Benoit who goes for a second, jamming him into the mat and goes for a third! However, Eddie rolls forward with a victory roll, but halfway through Benoit is able to somehow latch on the Crippler Crossface! The fans go WILD as Eddie tries to fight it, but he's soon forced to TAP OUT!

Edge heads into the ring not sure what to do now. He doesn't want any of Benoit and he knows the Matt Hardy is ready to take his head off. He goes to the corner and gets into position waiting for Benoit to turn around. Ready to spear him back to Edmonton! As soon as Edge races in, Benoit goes around him with a German suplex, jamming him into the mat! He then tags in Hardy, and Matt immediately goes up to the top rope, holding up the V1 sign, "OOOOOOOOH'S" along with the fans before leaping off with a picture perfect guillotine leg drop, straight across Edge’s throat and covers for the one, two, TWO count only as Edge kicks out!

Edge dips into the corner on his knees throwing his hands up begging off of Hardy, praying for him to have mercy. The crowd absolutely DESPISES Edge, jus waiting for him to be eliminated from this match; however, as soon as V1 approaches, the cowardly Edge pulls him chest first into the corner by the front of his pants and crawls through his legs, diving at Benoit and tags him on the knee, rolling to the outside and to safety! Benoit looks down on him for a moment before taking a breath and enters the ring, staring across at Hardy. Matt glares at Edge before nodding back to Benoit, and the two are forced to circle one another and lock up.

Benoit wasting no time gets Hardy into an arm bar and begins to pound on Hardy's right shoulder, wanting to soften it up for a date with the Crippler Crossface. Matt drops to a knee and comes right back with a fist between the eyes, rocking Benoit back. Chris goes to fire Hardy across, but Matt holds on, spins under Benoit's arm and pulls him right into a Side Effect, driving him into the mat and covers for a near two count before Benoit is able to kick out!

Benoit is up and drills Matt in the chest with a hard chop. And another, and another. When he gets Hardy to the ropes, he fires him off, and when he comes back he hoists Hardy up HIGH in the air and leaves him to come flat down on his face. As Hardy rebounds up to his feet, Edge tags himself in and then drops down to the floor, making his way around the ring. Hardy comes forward at Benoit with a haymaker, but Benoit goes around it with a German suplex, followed up by a second, and then a third. The crowd is behind Benoit as he pops up to his feet, giving the throat slash signal as he has dominated this match! However, as soon as he turns around, Edge charges into the ring with a HUGE Spear that drives the air out of Benoit! He lies across him and pulls up both legs with all he's got, pinning the Crippler for the one, two, and three count!

Edge is back up quickly and starts putting the boots to Hardy, not wanting him to get a head of steam at all. He just keeps stomping on him. "C'MON MATT! IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?! NO WONDER LITA WANTS A REAL MAN!" Hardy is kept on the mat as the fans start to cheer for him, also giving Benoit a standing ovation as he pulls himself together on the outside, glaring into the ring as he clutches his ribs and begins to make his way to the back as it’s now down to Edge and Matt Hardy, where the winner will become the #1 contender to John Cena’s United States Championship.

Edge pulls Hardy up and delivers a beautiful standing drop kick. He is then right back on Hardy throwing rapid rights to the side of Matt's head. Version 1 rolls into a corner where Edge is the aggressor. He attempts to fight his way to his feet, but as soon as he reaches them, Edge kicks his leg out from under him. Edge then pulls Matt up and body slams him to the mat climbing to the middle rope and just to mock Hardy, throws the V1 signal and leaps for the flying drop, but Matt rolls out of the way! The crowd pops as Edge lands ass first on the mat, and Hardy begins to get some energy back. he fires away on Edge with right hands and whips him across, taking him over with a backdrop on the return. He then drops him with a few consecutive clotheslines and goes for the Twist of Fate, but Edge counters into an Edge-O-Matic as he turns his back and covers for a two count!

Edge slaps the mat in frustration starting to tug at his hair angrily. He starts to slap the mat angrily yelling at the Ref that it should have been a three count. Meanwhile, Matt looks over at Edge throwing a tantrum and decides to stay down. He waits for Edge to come over, and when he does, he goes limp. Edge tries to pick Hardy up by the hair, but the body won't follow. Edge breaks out intro a grin, looking down at Hardy and SPITS on his back. He then arrogantly and slowly pulls Matt up, going for the Edgecution DDT, but Hardy surprises him by turning on a dime and JAMS him face first into the mat with the Twist of Fate! V1 covers, and the crowd counts along with the one, two, THREE!


"Live for the Moment" blasts over the speakers to a HUGE pop from the crowd as Matt Hardy has become the number one contender to the United States Championship!

Hardy gets his arm raised over Edge’s down and out body. Matt falls back into the ropes and goes to the outside, clutching the back of his head and breathing heavily after winning his first match back after over 4 months on the shelf – and his first match as a part of the Smackdown! roster!
