A new theme plays over the speakers, "Anxiety" by the Black Eyed Peas, which shoots right into the chorus as David Flair walks out onto the top of the ramp to a pop from the crowd! He makes his way down to the ring, sliding inside and paces from side to side.










"Away" by Mercy Drive comes on after David's entrance. This signals the arrival and first match of the number one contender Randy Orton! Orton comes out first, extending his arms to the side and soaking in the crowd's adoration.









Charlie O'Neale steps out after he does and walks on Randy's side, the two heading directly to the ring. Orton gets to the apron and leaps up onto it, standing on the bottom rope and pulling up on the 2nd one for her to enter through. From there he steps over the top and inside the ring, conferring with her for one last bit of advice. Charlie steps out of the ring and Orton stares across at David, just watching him.


Referee Nick Patrick calls for the bell, officially starting this match off as David steps right up into Orton's face, locking his eyes on him and not blinking. Orton pauses, raising his own eyebrow and then curls a smile at David, waving him in for a tie-up. Rather, David surprises Randy by chopping him across the chest! As Orton covers up, David shoves him into the ropes and fires him across, catching him with a knee to the mid section as he returns. Randy rebounds right back up to his feet, falling back into a corner where David is right on him, chopping away to the "Woooo's" from the fans!

Orton takes a few of the chops and raises his arm to block one last one, firing in a quick jab to David's chin, then answering it with a crunching elbow across the bridge of his nose! The impact causes just enough to tear Flair's eyes up for a bit, and Randy follows with an uppercut that sends him into the corner himself. Orton looks from one side to the other and then raises a knee into David's chest, pulling him out and hip tossing him out of the corner! David hits the mat and stumbles back to his feet, falling into the ropes. As Orton comes in, David ducks low and backdrops Randy over, but he lands feet first on the apron. David turns on a dime with a right hand, stunning him there. He then attempts to suplex him back into the ring, but Orton holds firm, blocking it. Randy then tries to take David over himself, but Flair blocks it this time. David then steps onto the ropes, taking the height advantage, and he now springs Orton back into the ring with a suplex that jams him into the mat, covering him for a quick two count!

Orton shrugs his arm out at 2, moving over onto his stomach to keep from being pushed back down. David begins to unload with a series of rights to the back of Orton's neck, pulling him up to his feet. He rings another chop off his chest and leans him against the ropes, attempting to fire him across, but Orton reverses. David comes flying in off the ropes with a cross body, taking Orton down for another two count. Randy pops right back up to his feet, but he walks right back into a small cradle for another two count! He kicks out and bolts up to his feet, looking at Charlie for a moment, and David scoops him up from behind with a schoolboy, getting another close fall before Randy rolls free and to the outside!

The crowd cheers David as he calls Orton back on, but gets moved back by the official. Randy reaches over as he's pulled back and drills him between the eyes with a closed fist. The instant Flair gets staggered, Randy moves to him, snatches him up in a fisherman's suplex position, and hoists him high. Orton takes a step out and drops right down to his ass, shocking David's spine with a muscle buster, before letting him drop to the mat. Orton lies across him back first, counting off the ref's slaps with his fingers, right until David kicks out at 2! Randy then pulls him up by the hair in a fury and turns him slowly around and into a hangman's neck breaker. Orton cinches him in, points at O'Neale and then drops back down to the canvas, jolting Flair down a second time and watching him lay on his side.

Randy gets to his feet after this one, nudging Flair's body on the mat with the tip of his foot. He looks back to Charlie and shrugs, laughing down at David. Orton backs away and drops to one knee, waving David back up, and extending his hand out to him. He seems to be focusing in on him and waiting an RKO. As soon as he stands, Orton moves in for the kill, but David shoves him off into the ropes and goes for the Flashback! However, Orton counters the counter and sneaks behind Flair, jacking him into his side with the 3.0 inverted neck breaker!

Randy debates going for the pin, but instead yanks him back up to his feet, and shoves him into the ref. Patrick catches him and looks confused as to what to do with him, shoving him back off a bit as soon as he can stand. The second he does, Orton goes airborne, cradling David's head and driving him into the mat with an RKO! Randy goes and drops across David, waiting on the pin. He gets 1...2...and Flair puts his leg on the bottom rope at the last second!

Orton looks up, and can’t believe this one, standing back up and yelling at Patrick that he can't even continue this and just to raise his hand! Randy grabs Flair by the hair and drags him to the corner, hoisting him up by the chin and standing him on his feet. He makes sure he's up and then slaps him HARD across the mouth. "You alright there?" Orton shows a bit of concern, and opens Flair's eyes on his own to check on him. Randy then follows with ANOTHER slap across the mouth. He goes back to checking on him, raising one, then two, and then four fingers in the air, and then backhands David with a third shot. Orton then turns back to Patrick, telling him to throw this match out since David obviously can't continue. However, as soon as Orton turns back to Flair, David comes shooting out of the corner with an RKO that JAMS Orton into the mat!

David rebounds away from Orton, lying on his back as the crowd goes WILD! Randy gets taken by surprise, and smacked chin first into the mat from David's explosion, bouncing over onto his back. The ref's count reaches eight before David pulls himself up in the ropes. He almost falls through the middle ropes, still feeling the effects from the previous RKO, and his sweat drips off onto Charlie. Her eyes go wide, and she reaches forward and SLAPS David across the face, and he goes stumbling back into a picture perfect standing dropkick by Orton!

The crowd then makes some noise as RANDI McMAHON races down to the ring, coming to David's defense and grabs Charlie from behind by the hair! This brings out Ric Flair, who tosses his suit coat on his way down and pulls Randi away from Charlie kicking and screaming! In defense, one of Randi's wild kicks catches Ric in the groin, and he howls out in pain before dropping to the mat! Randi then charges Charlie, spearing her to the floor and goes wild on the Brit! This catches Orton's attention, and he reaches through the ropes, trying to get to McMahon. David now comes up behind him, hooking his head and falls to his back, jacking Randy's head and spine into BOTH of his knees! The crowd pops as Orton's body jolts from the pain, and David goes for the cover, but Patrick is busy tossing EVERYBODY from ringside!

Ric goes to grab Randi by the arm, and David slides to the outside, pie facing his father to the floor! Officials now come down the ramp and escort EVERYONE from ringside, even the General Manager! Orton protests Charlie being dragged out over the shoulder of a security guard, but Patrick settles in and orders this match to continue!


JR: Its BEDLAM, Hot Rod! The main event has broken down into a full brawl outside and Nick Patrick has taken the bull by the horns here!

Piper: Nick Patrick has taken charge of this match, and we WILL have a main event and we WILL have a winner, JR, NEXT!


As Orton argues with Patrick, David comes up from behind him and rolls him up for a close two count! Orton moves to his knees and takes a wild swing at David. Randy's face blazes up and he stands back up, going after David with a HARD uppercut, and following it in with a second shot. David stumbles back first into the corner, and then attempts to fight his way free with a chop. Patrick comes between the two, breaking them up. David stumbles out into the ropes, blinking his eyes. As soon as Orton follows him in, he raises a knee to his mid section and then sends another chop across his chest. He leans him against the ropes and fires him across. David bounces off the ropes and leaves his feet as well. He and Orton both get a look on their faces as they realize they shared an idea and smack chest to chest in midair with an attempted dual cross body block! Flair crumples to the mat, as Randy lands on his side, coughing from the impact!

Randy moves to his feet first, as he's followed by David. They both wave back and forth on seeing one another standing. Orton throws a shot at David that connects, but Flair answers with a WHOOO chop of his own. Randy gives another, and so does Flair. Orton's chest goes bright red from David's chops. Randy swings for the fences again, but David moves up to block this one, and answers him with a knee to the jewels! Orton's eyes go wide, and he's immediately pulled into a small package from Flair! 1....2...ONLY 2 as Orton shrugs his arm out. David rolls off of the pin and climbs on Randy's chest, looking to the crowd for a moment and then rains down a series of punches on Randy's forehead as they count along!

David shoots up to his feet, his fists balled up and hyped to finish this one. He waves Orton on up, with the crowd behind him, and kicks him in the gut as he stands. Flair pulls his head between his legs, setting him up for a Piledriver! The crowd watches on in anticipation, but as soon as David goes to lift him, Orton squirms free and spins through with an RKO out of nowhere! The crowd showers the arena with boos as Orton covers, pulling up on the near leg for the one, two, THREE!


Patrick raises Orton's hand as he's announced as the winner, but Randy yanks it back down from him, signaling for a mic as he leans on the ropes.


Orton: "Nice try...but...but he fell flat. Just like they all will, and they all do. For those who didn’t know... I'm the Legend Killer Randy Orton... and this... was my warm-up. Next week, I'm starting my collection and my hunt back up again. With one target first and foremost on the list. And it’s all going to lead to you Chris Jericho...its going to be on your head...because right about now....You, are a marked...man."











Just then, Chris Jericho walks out from the top of the stage, Heavyweight Championship draped across his shoulder. He stares into the ring at Orton, when suddenly...











Jericho is dropped from behind by a WICKED chair shot! Jeff Jarrett stands over him and chucks the chair off to the side. He picks up the championship and holds it in his hand, then drops it across Jericho's body. JJ then looks towards the ring and puts a foot on the side of Y2J's head. His actions telling Randy. "THIS is how you handle things here." As Raw goes off the air!
