~The crowd immediately boos as Smackdown! is started with the appearance of the World Champion Jesse Hart and the General Manager Athene. They are standing backstage in Athene’s office, and the camera catches them in mid conversation.~


Jesse: He got in my business. You DON’T get in my business.

Athene: He’s a dumbass, what can I say?

Jesse: Just say that the match is booked.

Athene: Oh… it’s booked.

Jesse: Edge wanted Benoit for the World Championship so bad – he can HAVE him one on one tonight. Let’s see how Edge handles himself against a rabid Chris Benoit.

Athene: Let him deal with that tonight, you’ve got more important things to worry about.

Jesse: Like?

Athene: WrestleMania ring a bell? I know you’re proud of your undefeated streak, but you’re gonna have to put it on the line – and the World Championship.

Jesse: ‘Thene, I’m way ahead of you. By the end of the night, there WILL be a number one contender – and we’ll have a main event.











~Just then, Brock Lesnar walks into the room, dressed in his street clothes.~ You guys wanted to see me?


~Athene nods her head.~ Didn’t think you’d show though.

~Before Brock can respond, Jesse interrupts.~ Listen, Brock. As your friend, I want to see you succeed, and you’re not going to succeed if you run out of buildings because someone turns the lights out during one of your matches. You need direction, Brock… and I’ve got just the guy to give it to you.

~Jesse nods to Athene, and she responds by taking a few steps over, opening a door, and revealing…~













~… Paul Heyman to be standing behind it. Paul enters the room with a big grin spread across his lips, and he immediately takes Brock’s hand in both of his, shaking it confidently.~ It’s going to be my PLEASURE to guide your career, Brock… my absolute PLEASURE.


~Brock perks a brow, looking from Heyman, to Jesse, and to Athene.~

Jesse: Trust me, Brock… Paul will do you right… won’t you Paul?

Heyman: Brock, I swear on my mother’s grave, and she's not even dead yet, that I will help you to utilize your God given abilities to become a bigger star than you EVER could have dreamed.


~We then go into the Smackdown! opening as Hart and Athene nod along with Heyman.~
