~We now take you backstage where we catch up with David Flair in a locker room. The crowd boos upon first seeing him, but the reaction is soon mixed as he is seated on a bench, leaning forward and looking down at the floor, deep in thought.~
~The crowd cheers a bit as Randi is shown stepping up in front of him.~ David, I know we haven’t spoken in a while, but… I just wanted to let you know that I’m rooting for ya. I know you can do this.
~David looks up, caught a little bit by surprise.~ And here I thought that you were under the impression that I didn’t stand a chance…
~Randi shakes her head.~ No David. I told you before that I believe in you, you were just too angry to listen to me.
~He stands up.~ I’m not angry, I’m focused. There’s a difference.
Randi: Fine, too focused to listen to me, either way, I never gave up on you David. ~She looks down and shrugs a bit.~ So just know that. Anyways.. I guess I’ll let you get back to being focused.
~Randi then heads out of the room, leaving David behind with one more thing to think about.~
~The crowd then “Woooooo’s” as Ric Flair enters the room, causing David to rise to his feet immediately. Ric holds his hands down.~ Calm down David, I’m here to talk…
~David stands there with a firm jaw.~ I have nothing to say to you.
Ric: Then you don’t have to talk, just listen. Tonight… is the biggest match of your life. Tonight, you step into a match that I haven’t even built up the nerve to do. Tonight, you challenge for the Heavyweight Championship of the world… and tonight… I’m proud of you.
~Ric continues as David remains emotionless.~ I know you’ve got a lot going on right now with your personal life, but you need to set that aside because tonight, my boy, you’re stepping into HELL with Jeff Jarrett! You’re stepping into HELL with Shawn Michaels! You’re stepping into HELL with Lance Storm! You’re stepping into HELL with Chris Jericho! And finally, you’re stepping into hell with the BEST that this business has to offer, “The Game”, Triple H! David, you’re the only one in that match who hasn’t held a World title, and that… that makes you dangerous. Tonight, I just want you to know that this isn’t about The Authority, it’s about family. It’s about my family. You’re my family… Batista is my family… Sean O’Haire is my family… and Triple H is my family. ~Ric grabs David by the shoulders, nodding his head before slapping his arms, strutting out of the room with one last “WOOOOOOO!”~
