Subject: Lance Storm vs Team Canada?

"Right Now" by Korn comes on the speakers as Lance Storm comes out holding his fists in the air. Lance moves to the ring apron and slides across it on his kickpads. He steps inside and waits there, watching the ring ramp.


"Oh Canada" comes on the speakers as Team Canada captain Petey Williams arrives from the backstage area and between the ropes. Williams removes his jacket and shoves it outside the ring, not breaking his eyes from Lance. He steps forward and offers a handshake, but Lance backhands him away and goes right in with a punch to the face!

Petey stumbles back, and Storm is right on him with a tieup. He struggles with him for a bit. Petey goes to shove off, Storm tenses and sends him flying away with a show of strength! Williams hits on his behind in the corner and watches him, nodding knowingly. They tie up again and Lance ducks around him for a rear wristlock. Petey leans forward, reaches back between his legs and snatches Storm's right one out from him. Lance rolls on his back away from it and watches Williams this time.

Petey offers a hand to him for help. Lance takes it but uses that to yank Williams right into the corner. Petey feels himself coming in but ducks down to hoist Lance on his shoulders, spinning him off into a backbreaker across his knee, F5 style! Lance arches up from the impact and gets shoved right down by Petey, who cradles his head on a pin.

The count gets only 2 as Lance shoves out. Petey goes right on the assault at this point, firing shots to Storm in the corner. Petey goes for an Irish whip into the ropes and comes flying off with a bodypress that sends him to the mat. Lance powers out of this one. When Williams gets to his feet, he's taken over with a Japanese armdrag. Lance backs up after it and goes airborne with a dropkick that meets Petey in his forehead! Petey sprawls to the mat and Lance leaps forward, turning him inside out with a Oklahoma Roll, trying to turn him into a pin. Petey squirms while he's in it and rolls through, keeping his shoulders off the canvas and finally waiting until Lance lets go of the hold.

Storm gets up some and swings a wild shot at Petey, who ducks it and ducks behind him. He takes a breath and sends him crashing up and over with a German Suplex! This one gets 1....2...ALMOST a 3 count as Storm kicks out late. Petey slaps his hands on the ground and watches Lance, waits him to his feet and goes to a urange style throw, setting up a legsweep and moves into an STO. Lance kicks his foot off, however and ducks under, grabbing his shorts and slamming him over with the Tempete! Storm floats over and pulls his leg back and grapevines the other, getting a 1...2....ONLY a 2 count as Petey shoves an arm out!

Lance looks up, unbelieving that this rookie can take this punishment and hoists him to his feet. Storm lifts him and sits him on the top turnbuckle, jamming an elbow into his chin and shoves him up some more, going for a Samoan drop from the top. Petey fights out of it and shoves him off, then when Lance comes forward again, he moves up and steps off onto his shoulders, squirming about.

Williams goes up onto his back and perches for a bit, setting himself in sunset flip position. Petey starts to yank him forward into something, but Storm shoves him up higher and onto his shoulders. Lance then rushes forward a bit and does a Samoan Roll onto the canvas and keeps hold of Williams' legs on the landing. He steps between them and grapevines him into a Sharpshooter, turning Petey slowly over and wrenching back for the submission!

Williams reaches for the ropes, and misses them entirely, putting his hands behind his head as he finally taps, yelling as he does. Storm lets go of the hold and stares down at Petey, breathing heavily as he can't believe all of what it took to win this match!

He reaches his hand out and yanks Williams to his feet hard, dropping it and stepping outside the ring as Petey holds onto the small of his back, breathing heavily still.
