~When we return from the commercial break, we take you into the locker room of Team Angle where we see Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin, and Nat Taylor.~


Nat: Man, that was something.

Shelton: For real. He’d be proud, man.

Charlie: Thanks guys. I just… I can’t explain how it felt to hear them chant for him… it’s surreal.

Nat: And, in case I haven’t said it enough, thanks for the help guys, I was kinda screwed, wasn’t I?

Shelton: She’s got it out for you, that’s for sure.

Charlie: We’ve got your back, Nat… you know that. You do your thing, and we’ll do ours. There’s a reason we’re all champs.

~Just then, everyone goes quiet as the now former World Champion walks into the room, clearing his throat.~

Charlie: Kurt… I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like tha—

~Kurt holds a hand up, cutting him off.~ It’s ok… don’t worry about it, because tonight I bring the big gold home to Team Angle.

Nat: And I’m going to be there right by your side.

Kurt: The heck you are. We’ve already been over this, Nat. I go out there alone.

Nat: Yeah, just like Jesse’s going out there alone? You bet your ass I’m going out there, Kurt. If Athene’s going to be there – as the General Manager at that – then so am I.

Kurt: You make a strong point. Shelton, you got my back tonight.

Nat: What the hell? Kurt, I’m going out there with you whether you want me to or not. Besides, I’m the only one here who holds a valid manager’s license… Athene won’t be able to ban me from ringside. And in case you forgot just how valuable I am, Kurt… you’ll remember by the end of the night when we leave Los Angeles with the World Championship.

Kurt: But—

Nat: But nothing. I’m putting my foot down Kurt, and that’s final.

~Both Haas and Benjamin take a step back, not about to argue with the Women’s Champion… and neither is Angle as he nods his head, and the camera cuts to the ring for the United States Championship title match!~
