~We catch up with “Team Angle” members and Tag Team Champions Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas backstage as they are seated on a bench, Shelton with an ice pack to his head, and Nat standing behind Charlie, rubbing his back, both men obviously worse for ware.~









Nat: This is ridiculous! There’s now way that either of you can compete tonight. Kurt, you’ll just have to find someone else. ~She nods her head.~

Shelton: T’hell you are!

Charlie: We’re going out there tonight whether you like it or not, Kurt.

~Nat slaps Charlie upside the head.~ Don’t be so damn stubborn!







~The crowd pops loudly as the camera pans out and we see Kurt Angle, standing in front of them, beginning to speak.~ Enough! Stop acting like freakin’ infants, you’re not green rookies any more, you need to know your limits, and tonight, you’re not going out there… I’ll find somebody else.

~Nat nods her head in agreement, but Shelton and Charlie stand up, not backing down from Kurt as they would before.~

Shelton: You can’t be serious… this coming from you of all people?

Kurt: What the heck is THAT supposed to mean?

Charlie: Come on, Kurt, you competed in the Olympics with a broken neck, and now you’re telling US that we can’t compete tonight because we got jumped by a couple of foul smelling Frenchmen?

Shelton: Lighten up, Kurt. Besides, who better to watch your back than us? Face the facts, man, you don’t have many friends around here. Besides Nat, we’re all you’ve got.

~Kurt lowers his head, standing with his hands on his hips, and after a few moments, he finally nods his head reluctantly.~ Alright, but only on one condition. I carry the match, and you two just watch my back and see minimal action.

~Haas and Benjamin agree, not about to over step their bounds after they have just gotten what they want. Kurt then collects his World Championship and makes his way towards the door, but before leaving, he turns back to face them.~ By the way, I WON a gold medal in the Olympics with a broken freakin’ neck, so don’t let me down.

~The crowd pops for the statement as Kurt takes his leave, and the feed now switches to Rey Mysterio somewhere else in the backstage area.~

~The crowd begins to cheer as Mysterio is seen shuffling from side to side in the hallway, preparing himself for his upcoming match, adjusting his mask.~









~The crowd then has a mixed reaction as Eddie Guerrero appears on the scene, standing in front of Mysterio with his hands up in front of him.~ Heeeeeeey holmes… I just wanted to tell ya that there’s no hard feelings about the King of the Ring, the better man won, esse, and I’m proud of you. And tonight, Rey Rey, you’re going to kick Nick Dinsmore’s ASS and move on in the tournament, viva la raza!


~Mysterio nods his head and pounds fists with Eddie, but Guerrero continues.~ But I need to tell ya something, esse, man to man, brother to brother. I just came from mamacita Stephanie McMahon’s office, and she told me that next week, Eddie Guerrero is in a first round match for the US title too holmes! So by SummerSlam, one way or another, la raza will be well represented, by Rey Mysterio, or Eddie Guerrero!

~Eddie pats Rey on the shoulder.~ Now good luck out there tonight my friend, we’ll roll in the loooow riiiiiiider after the show!

~Eddie now walks past Rey, heading down the hall with a huge grin pasted across his face, leaving Mysterio behind, watching him leave thoughtfully.~
