The analogy was a good one--and one even *I* could understand the first time through. It applies even today with the leftist press in this country filling the wells of truth; truth that is trying its best to be heard. The Today show and View hosts pay homage to any faith that is in the news, while deriding Christians at any opportunity, trying to cast them as close-minded fear-mongerers and holding them up to scorn. I foresee a time when Christians will have to keep their faith behind closed doors to keep from being persecuted and called out. Secularism as the most popular faith may be only a generation or two away.

It goes to show you than even the oldest books in the Bible speak directly to us today and have appropriate application to the events that surround us today.

The wickedness of mankind is not new. It is as old as Cain.

I had a few weeks ago. Charlie and I took a tour to Springfield IL, Lincolnland, to see some of the historical sights, one of which was the new museum of all things Lincoln. They had a room full of political ads and cartoons of when Lincoln was running against Douglas and I was horrified to read the vitriol and hatred that was widespread in the papers and books of that time. He truly was one of the most loved and the most hated presidents this country ever had. Today is mild in comparison to those articles. It was sad and disgusting.
So, it seems no matter how we think we've progressed, some things never change--going clear back to the days spoken of in Genesis.
