The faith of Daniel is clearly expressed . And your pointing out in the verse " excellent spirit " is just wonderful.

Like a shiny nugget !!

I have read this a few times , HB. Great , great lesson .

Thank you and God bless you always,

Julie

Proverbs 17 :27 He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.

Daniel is also one of my favorite books of the Bible.

It not only has the most detailed prophesies of the Bible but it also is very revealing as to human nature and character.

All of us can weigh or measure our own faith and service against the lives of the players in the Book of Daniel. Each person mentioned has characteristics we might try to emulate or shun but as we read we usually weigh ourselves by what they did in their respective circumstances.

May we all ever stand true to our Saviour no matter what the circumstances we find ourselves in.
