but lax in posting. Shame on me. As you know the Book of Daniel is one of my favorites and has always fascinated me. With reference to On the other hand we see a prophecy that makes it possible it is a reference to the anti-Christ himself. 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Joel Richardson has written a book "The Islamic Antichrist" which states: In "The Islamic Antichrist," Joel Richardson breaks new ground with this devastating account of the possible connection between the Biblical Antichrist and the Islamic Mahdi. The Bible predicts that in the last days a charismatic leader will establish a global following in the name of peace. The Quran also predicts that a man will rise up to lead the nations, pledging to usher in an era of peace. The man in the Quran is called the Mahdi, or Islam's savior. However, the man in the Bible is the Antichrist. Could it be possible that they are one and the same person?

Richardson's stunning research and analysis suggest that it is. In "The Islamic Antichrist," he exposes Western readers to the traditions of Islam and predicts that the end times may not be that far away. His book will stun readers who are unaware of the similarities between the Antichrist and the 'Islamic Jesus.'

I had always believed the antichrist came out of the European nations or the Revived Roman Empire but Joel Richardson has made me look at it in a totally different light and with the way things are going it makes more sense that he will come out of Islam. What are your thoughts on this?

more and more to an Islamic anti-Christ. As shown in the location of the 4 kingdoms that come from the break up with the Greek empire the anti-Christ will almost certainly arise from one of these areas.

As to Mr. Richardson's assumption; most of what I read I agree with. I do however think he has misread in one area.

He states that Rome could not be it because it never defeated Babylon. I don't read where there is a requirement that Babylon be defeated by the nation the anti-Christ comes out of. The order of the nations are given and we know that Babylon was defeated by Media/Persia and subsequently Greece defeated Media/Persia but then we are not told that Rome defeated Greece. The Roman Empire arose and much of the Middle East was part of that Empire. Technically the anti-Christ could come out of a nation that was once part of the Roman Empire and still be one of the Islamic nations of today.

While I tend to agree with his conclusion I don't necessarily agree with all the points he uses to arrive at the conclusion.
