The King Is In The Field

I have read where the Jews also read Psalm 27 daily during this month.

and goes well with my answer on "the ball is in our court" post below.

Repentance is always in order. Although we might have forgiveness of our sins we still continue to sin. It is our nature as long as we are in this clay we inherited from our parents, Adam and Eve.

God is always willing to forgive but we must approach Him. Not the other way around.

Thanks for the post and link.

A question! Is it just coincidence that the Jewish month of Elul and the Muslim month of Ramadan are the same? I'm just not knowledgeable enough about such matters to know the answer or explanation. Do you? Thankee!

I'm not sure and I don't know when the Jewish calendar was changed so that the new year would start in the fall of the year.

Exodus 12:2 plainly states that God set the beginning of months in the spring of the year (month of Abib Ex.23:15) concurrent with the passover.

I must assume that through the years and forsaking God's declaration Israel must have changed their calendar.

The time of the fall festival (feast of tabernacles) will be the time of the advent so I am not sure of the significance.
