I'd like to put a little correction to your info re how to get to redang/ perhentian by train.
Get a train from KL Central or Singapore to WAKAF BHARU, not Tanah Merah as stated in the site, then proceed to Kota Bharu, capital of Kelantan. Then you can take a tsxi or a coach to Kuala Besut (Perhentian) or to Merang or Kuala Terengganu.(Redang)
