Subject: Santa Clara and George Mason University Link

I am a sports writer at George Mason University's student-run website Connect Mason. While this does seem strange for me to be posting here, Mason is in the same dilemma as Santa Clara, well almost.

Mason has fielded a club team since 1993, yet the university will not allow it to attain varsity status. If it is any consolation, the same athletic director that was in place during the take-down of Bronco football is the man running things at Mason.

If there are any former coaches, players or those who started Let Them Play that can help me out in connecting the dots between Santa Clara and Mason, I would greatly appreciate the help. If what I can do on this end helps with your efforts here in Santa Clara, that would be the ultimate goal.
