I believe he is now engaged to Jen, his "assistant".
When I first talked with him via email in '06, he said he had just gotten out of a relationship and "not in a good way", whatever that means. Likely got cheated on? Who knows. This was prior to the tour.
He has asked me to attend a few shows since then, but I declined. I finally met up with him last summer when he was in town for a local show after about 2 months of sporadic emails. He insisted he was "single".
I did not go through Todd, but MJK directly. In fact, Todd was not around on this last tour. I spent some time with MJK in his hotel room before the show, but it never led to anything. He seemed nervous. Talked about his kid at one point. I'm fairly certain he found another booty call (hotel bartender) the night before when I didn't respond to his text msg. at 1am. Oops.
Seems like a nice guy, but difficult to read. Mixed messages, and hard to get in touch with. He sends very brief emails, treats it like a business so you never quite know what he's thinking. Kinda pops up out of the blue.
I attempted to touch base at his Puscifer shows this spring, but did not get a reply. Instead, I got stared down the whole night, but he never approached. I noticed Todd escorted fans backstage after the shows, a mix of older guys and girls. I don't think they were for MJK.
Not sure if Maynard will still get his sexual fix now that he's engaged. Good for him, if he found happiness.
