Well - I suppose you could argue that Taplow station isn't too far away but can you really see people walking from CRX to the station along national speed limit roads with no pavements?

And to even buy a pint of milk they will have to get in a car - unless they build a Tesco Metro on site. Daft. Ok 0- so the same could be said of Nashdom but Nashdom is a conversion and the developers never made any "affordable houses for the community" promices - it's a posh "gated" community.

Another local travel issue (for me anyway) is the Old Railway Line between Bourne End and Wycombe. They tore the tracks up in the 60s as part of Dr Beechings transport cock-up.

35 years later and the roads between Bourne End and Wycombe are chaios - especially the London Road. And to top it all - a new affordable housing "village" is being built in East Wycombe that will add to the problems.

I'd just we interested if anyone has views as to whether the line should be reopened connecting Maidenhead to Wycombe as various schemes (light railway/tram, official cycle path etc etc)
