Former Queen of the Jungle and Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona is thinking of upping sticks, leaving her home town of Warrington for a new life in London, where the streets are paved with gold. Katona, according to the Warrington Guardian, is fed up with the town - what, all of it? - after allegations about boozy nights and squabbles kept surfacing in national newspapers.

Katona, who can currently be seen advertising chicken fillets and Black Forest gateaux, says she'll give it a month before she turns her back on the northwest. "I love it in Warrington," she says. "The kids are settled and I've spent GBP10k on a new garden. If I run away it's like I've got something to hide, which I haven't. I'm a big fan of Warrington, but not a big fan of Warrington people at the moment."

Crikey. I don't know what surprises me more, that she's unilaterally fallen out with an entire population or that she spent so much money on her garden. Warrington has everything - Ikea, and ramraiding.
What's not to love?

Taken from the Guardian's weekly "The Northerner" mailout.
Anyway, enjoy Kerry, London :)
