Yeahhhhhh ! Footie is back, well proper football anyway not those grasping little twats at the top!

Great start...my team (Palace) won, my missus's team (Southend) also won, and my son's (Brentford ) did too!

Of 22 bets I made today, only 4 lost!

AND the vile Rooney was sent off in disgrace after another foul act of skullduggery, along with team mate Scholes for a demented tackle!

Villa get O'Neill and could be getting a sugar daddy owner so expect great things.

Only bad thing that's happened is that the fine gentleman Sir Bobby Robson was taken to hospital after being taken ill at Palace's match. After his lengthy and numerous fights against cancer , one has to worry. Fingers crossed he is ok.

(well, tonight's show).

Thought she'd said she wasn't doing more 'reality' TV, but that's her business. Money talks I'm sure!

I really liked her on BB3 so hope she livens Love Island up similarly :)

C4 press release:

Ex-housemate Grace is 21 tomorrow and Big Brother - who always loves a birthday - has a treat in store for her. At the stroke of midnight tonight, Big Brother will call Grace, currently residing in the house next door, to the Diary Room. There, she'll be given her birthday present, which, as tradition dictates, will be a key to the door…of the main house.

Grace will be allowed to spend a very special 21 minutes in the original house, where she'll be reunited with Aisleyne, Glyn and Pete and also meet Jennie for the first time. Grace will be greeted with a song, a cake - but what will be the reaction of her fellow housemates? And how will Nikki cope as Grace gets VIP access to their old home and her beloved Pete?

Tune in to E4 just after Midnight to find out!

Well poor young Imo is well and truly out tonight according to the bookies. Boooo! Bit sad as she has been really good this week, but of course the editors are not allowed to show any of that! Not when they have Pete to push even more anyway. Did you SEE how they made him the STAR of EVERYONES radio broadcast! Disgraceful fixing!

Anyway...some other odds on offer.

Pete to have a number one single in 2006 3/1
Nikki to star in the Carry on London 3/1
Spiral to present his own show on new Irish
station Bubble Hits before the end of 2007 6/1
Spiral to have a number one single in 2006 10/1
Pete to become presenter on Animal Hospital
by th eend of 2007 10/1
Mikey to marry Grace before the wnd of 2007 14/1
Imogen to marry Sezer before the end of 2007 16/1
Nikki to marry a Premiership footballer by the
end of 2007 20/1
Aisleyne to marry Mike Tyson in 2006 33/1

Meet the Neighbours

Wednesday 09 August
Day 84, 17:40
Nominees Richard and Imogen have been moved into The House Next Door, sparking a tearful reunion with their four old pals.

Both Houses were stunned to see the pair appear on the plasma screens after they'd been called to the Diary Room. Big Brother informed them they would face this week's public vote, but neither were surprised.

"We already knew we'd be up," chuckled Richard, giving Imogen a hug. But the biggest twist was still to come.

Story continues below

Big Brother revealed that both nominees would be spending the rest of the week Next Door, meaning one of them would never return to the main House.

"Ooh!" said Richard.

"Aah!" said Imogen.

It was about all they could muster, torn between the ecstasy of meeting their old buddies and the agony of abandoning the other housemates. But there was little time to ponder as they were sent instantly into a noisy reunion.

Nikki shrieked, Mikey roared and Richard burst into tears as he bounded into Lea's arms.

"Oh my god, Richard I love you. I've missed you so much," she exclaimed.

The Canadian even found time to give his old enemy Grace a hug as the reunited six leapt around happily.

The contrast in the main House could not have been starker. Jennie, Pete, Glyn and Aisleyne had watched the whole thing on the screen and now they sat in sorry silence.

At least they know they'll still be there on Friday... but who will be joining them?

Good news folks, it seems the database upgrade and transfer worked and all is looking good.

The servers have put us on a scripting server and not the main one until we have finished our updates, so once we finish we will let them know and hopefully they will just transfer us over again.

There will be a few new functions and we may have a period of tweaking, but the main thing is the board will be back with all your posts in tact.

The only thing Im having trouble with is transferring everyones upload files over, worse case scenario we will have to lose them

Christmas arrives early

Christmas officially arrived in London on Tuesday as one retailer ignored the hot weather and got into the festive spirit.

Launching its 15,000 sq ft 'Christmas World', Harrods reminded customers they have only 139 shopping days left before December 25.

A Father Christmas clad in a red safari suit and accompanied by a zebra were drafted in to mark the event.

Bing Crosby's 'Let It Snow' played in the background of the department store's Christmas area.

Harrods said foreign tourists

were the main reason it had launched Christmas World in August every year for the last decade.
Rival London store Selfridges will open its Christmas shop on Thursday - a fortnight earlier than usual.

Tinsel, Christmas trees, cards and decorations are among the items crammed into the festive area on Harrods' second floor.

A single bauble priced at £329 is one of the most expensive items while the cheapest bauble cost just 75p. The store plans to sell luxury crackers priced at £1,000 for a box of eight and even a £15,000 Christmas gift voucher for the person who has everything.

Harrods' corporate communications director Peter Willasey said the August launch came in response to high customer demand.

"There are cynics out there who say it is too early. If the whole store was decked out then yes, it would be too early, but that won't be until the beginning of November," he said. "Just this one small area will be up and running before then."

Subject: Big Bro In Meltdown

Author:
Bren

by KATIE BEGLEY
BIG BROTHER was risking meltdown last night as the show faced the full fury of viewers and TV watchdogs.
The crisis-hit Channel 4 reality show may even be put up for sale – and could even switch to ITV.
It comes as the programme faces humiliating public criticism in two official reports.
Television regulator Ofcom is launching an official probe after receiving a record 1,500 formal complaints in two days over tonight’s “comeback kids” stunt.
And later this week the Advertising Standards Authority is due to report into claims that the KitKat Golden Ticket contest was a con.
Meanwhile angry fans are continuing to call for a national boycott of the Big Brother phonelines in a bid to put a black hole in bosses’ pockets.
They are furious that Nikki Grahame and Susie Verrico look set to re-enter the house, despite the fact viewers paid to call in and boot them out.
One senior TV insider said last night: “Its an absolute mess. The whole thing seems to be falling apart at the seams.”
Storm
ITV chiefs are already said to have held secret unofficial talks with Big Brother programme makers. Director of television Simon Shaps is understood to have begun courting Endemol.
The channel would be keen to snatch the ratings-grabber, but Endemol will have to ride out the storm before any new deal could be thrashed out.
Huge numbers of disgruntled BB fans have swamped Ofcom with complaints about tonight’s show, which will see four ex-housemates return to get a second chance of winning the £100,000 prize.
The TV regulator received 1,500 complaints in just two days – a record for Big Brother and second only to the number received over Jerry Springer: The Opera – and that number is expected to surge further over the next 24 hours.
That’s 1,000 more complaints than the show attracted when BB6’s Makosi Musambasi, 25, and eventual winner Anthony Hutton, 24, appeared to have sex in the pool.
And when, during the same series, racy Kinga Karolczak, 21, performed a sex act with a wine bottle only 300 viewers complained.
Fans of the show reckon the comeback of four housemates is simply a cynical move by Endemol to increase its profits. Bosses insist that all profits from the “comeback kids” phone lines are going to charity.
But to make matters worse for Big Brother one of the front-runners to reenter the house tonight is Susie, 43, the KitKat Golden Ticket contestant.
She was selected to enter the house in a ballot of Golden Ticket holders. But many viewers suspected the draw was a fix. And Susie later dropped hints that she knew before the ballot that she’d be the winner.
Also hotly-tipped to go back in the house tonight is dippy Nikki, 24, who has divided the TV audience like no other contestant in the show’s history.
Die-hard fans have launched a blistering internet campaign urging all viewers to boycott the rest of the series.
They want fans to refuse to pick up their phones and vote, which would cripple the show’s profits.
Last night Ofcom warned that any formal investigation into the return of the ex-housemates could take months due to the sheer number of complaints.
Sanctions
One source there told the Daily Star: “Every complaint is taken seriously. But with the sheer volume we’re dealing with, the most in Big Brother history, we will definitely be tracking this issue extremely carefully.
“It’s too early to say what, or if, sanctions can be used. But we will have to see whether Channel 4 and Endemol have a case to answer.”
Last night Big Brother bosses remained defiant that their successful show would remain a hit – and stay on Channel 4.
And they insisted that tonight’s comeback stunt was the “most popular” of the current series by far. A show spokeswoman said: “Big Brother always receives a large number of calls from viewers wishing to comment on the programme and this year is no exception.
“For the first time in the history of Big Brother the public have been given the power to grant a reprieve for up to four evicted housemates.”
And she insisted: “Almost has already been raised for from this vote alone.”
The spokeswoman added that there was no way Channel 4 would give up Big Brother “without a fight”.
The channel has owned the rights to £150,000
charity the spy-on-the-wall series ever since it was launched in 2000.
It originally paid £40million for a four-year deal for all UK rights to the show. And last year, Channel 4 renegotiated the contract until 2007.
It’s a big money-spinner and has also helped give its fellow channel E4 a boost with spin-off shows Little Brother and Big Brother’s Big Mouth.
The series has attracted a key target audience to the channel – those aged 16 to 34.
Last night a Channel 4 spokeswoman said: “Big Brother is here to stay with us.”
And an ITV official spokeswoman denied any talks had been held with Endemol over buying Big Brother. katie.begley@dailystar.co.uk
