Emails to and from the "support" desk re our site

WE'RE saying, these people had the same problem and this is the solution and THEY'RE saying no it isn't that, WE must do something else.

***

from the script writers of the forum at webwiz again...

Again we have had this note to send you from the creater of teh forum we are having hosted on your servers...he still insists there is no other explanation
--------
From your explanation second post it what the problem is.
I had exactly the same issue on a windows 2003 server and a site only running the Access version of Web Wiz Forums, that when the forum came under heavy load the application pool would become unresponsive, meaning all sites that use that app pool on the server would stop working.

It took me weeks to find the problem as I knew the code within Web Wiz Forums is very tight so could not possibly be the issue. I then came across the KB I mentioned in my post and once installed on the web server cleared up all the issues.

Contact your hosting company and point them in the direction of the following kb:-
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=838306
I'm sure that once they install this hotfix on the server it should clear up the issue.
---------
Please see we are stuck between a rock and a hard place the script writers are assuring us we have no open database connections and it is a server problem and you ar eassuring us that it is a script problem and not a server one. I have updated files to overright the ones uploaded on the server already but I need the ftp access to be switched on so I can update everything, Please let me have this access.

we are certianly willing to do this and I have asked for access to the
ftp so that we can actualy make a start on this but as yet we havent
had that access.

Thanks for your query.

To be honest, we do not think it is the server but the script that you are using. Regardless of what patches you installed and even if you are on a pool of your own, if you do not clean up your connections and free up memory this will bring any server to a breakdown point. We have hundreds of customers on this server, connecting to access and sql databases without any problems. We will pass the comments to someone else and get back to you. However, we still expect you to review your scripts and we will only restore his domain once this has been done.

Kind Regards,

--------------------------
Could I please get an update as to the reinstatement of the site please? Any kind of timescale?
We have so many people who are patiently waiting for teh site to come back and we hate disapointing our users, so any information I can have just so we know where we stand would be wonderful thank you in advance
