Subject: how I'll use PP, Vol 2 - it looks awesome!
In reply to: Liann 's message, "Is anyone using Inventions and Discoveries vol. 2 this year?" on 20:44:21 06/26/02 Wed

Well, I received my copy of Vol. 2 this week and I have to say I'm very excited about it, but we won't begin using it until next summer. And after looking at it, I've changed how I'm going to use it. I knew that I was going to use it to cover Science and Fine Arts and use something else for history. I thought I was going to use the Prairie Primer, but I have decided that it would be difficult to mesh the two, so I've decided to use TruthQuest HIStory covering 1865-2000. The author of TruthQuest has created a volume covering these years and geared it towards the younger student. It will pick up just where we leave off after finishing PPrimers, Vol. 1 next spring.

I am so happy to see everything falling into place! I'm not sure I'll be able to use PPrimers, Vol. 3 once it's published because it'll be time to begin using Learning Adventures, but I'll have to wait until I can see the scope & sequence from it to decide anything official :-)

Kris
