You might want to look into.....
A Child's History Of America-Told in One-Syllable
Words....by Josephine Pollard
There's not to many pictures, but it's something you'd
probably read to her. "The books are a four-part
series designed to present the story of America in an
easy-to-read one-syllable format that will delight
young readers." (Quoted from back of Book 1)
Also the books from Christian Liberty Press that were
