My 7 year old love Indians. We are planning to have an Indian day on his birthday this August. He will get to be the chief since it is his birthday. My husband has been planning all sorts of things to do for the last year. The kids are going to make their own bowls out of clay, fish for their dinner, pretend to hunt, eat deer (from last hunting season) and fish for dinner. My husband has so much planned. I was told by my 7 year old son that there are no squaws (sp?) allowed. My husband said that I can dress up as a pioneer lady and bring them things to trade. My son also said I could take pictures from a distance if I am quiet!!! It is sooo funny!! They love their guy time!! I go scrapbooking about twice a month and they always build a bonfire and roast hotdogs and marshmallows when I am gone. Last night I was scrapbooking and when I came home there was a note on the table: We are up sleeping in the fort. Wake us up when you get home.. I thought it was so cute. My husband (who is a large man) and my 7 yo and 9 yo were squished sleeping in blankets on the top of the play fort. Our 14 yo son was staying over his cousins house or he would have had to sleep on the contecting slide since it was so crowded in there!! I grabbed my camera and took pictures before I woke them up. I love photography and especially catching Dad in action spending time with his sons!! It was adorable. I will send you information on how he plans to build the teepee. Maybe the pioneer lady will get some good pictures too!!
:-) I would love to know your plans Sheril.

Blessings, Liann
