Subject: moment of splendor
there is a painting outside my window
it seems frozen at the moment
nonchalant to the activities around it
the sky grows darker
as the hue of the painting changes colour
as the sun sets
it takes with it the rest of the day
and I know that it has been another day
the song on the radio continues to play
oblivious to the emotions it displays
