Looks like you might have some good swap meet material now. Those fans are a popular item, esp. for the V-8's that don't have room for a belt driven fan.
You mentioned that the '96-'98 have a thicker core, do they have the engine oil cooler, and trans coolers too?
I'm considering a thicker cored Rad. it has been up to 115* (record highs) and hovering around 100* for the last two weeks here.
