Hmmm. These years are notorious for a bad main fuel relay. If it hasn't failed yet it probably will, so you might consider having it replaced to eliminate that as the cause.

Basically it heats up and you lose power to the fuel pump. It has to do with bad solder joints in the relay.

The relay is above your left foot when you're driving, up pretty far in the dash.
