Again, hard to tell without actually looking at the car. What you listed could also be the problem.

You need 3 things to make an engine run: compression, carburation, and ignition. You have compression, or the engine would never run. Carburation (fuel) and ignition are suspect. The relay I mentioned cuts off power to the fuel pump, and the engine will then die. The relay you mentioned would affect the spark and the engine will die.

Both the distributor and the main fuel relay have been problems on the Accords. I'd suggest asking your mechanic to first replace the main fuel relay (also called an EFI main relay). Then I'd drive it for awhile and see if the problem reoccurs. If the problem remains, have them check out the distributor.

But I'd suspect the fuel relay first since it is cheaper and is a definite problem on these years Accords.....good luck, Glen
