To be honest, if you don't know what a head looks like, I'm worried this might be too big a job for you. Unless you feel pretty comfortable working on cars, I'd see if you can find a friend that has done some work before and work together on the head change.

As far as sealant, I don't know what they're talking about - head gaskets are usually not installed with any sealant. The gasket won't wait - you will likely soon damage the internals if you get a lot of coolant in the oil and damage the bearings....hope this helps...Glen
