Just my info:

I primarily use Fram filters on mine and my wifes car.
My 1986 Accord DX had 197,000 when I sold it, ran great.
My 1989 Accord DX currently has 291,345 and I drive it 140 miles each day, runs great, except for this new vacuum leak I am in the process of finding.
My friends 1989 Accord DX (he used Fram), had 356,450 on it when he traded it in,
And my wifes 1995 Accord EX has 116,000 on it, runs like new.

I drive so much that the factory parts are too much, and I have had no problems with the after markets, but I must say, I understand where you are coming from, the oil filter is pretty much the only aftermarket part to hit my car. Usually nothing beats the OEM. All Honda parts is a safe way to go if you can afford it.
