my taillight gaskets leaked also. i cleaned them and used liquid gasket and no leaks since. but to verify where the leak was coming from i learned a trick from a body shop. i unfolded the rear seat and layed in the trunk with a flashlight. i had a friend use a hose to pour water over ever part of the outside of the closed trunk. sure enough it was from the lights. this probably sounds stupid but it works. good luck.
