YUP,

I figured it out a few hours ago. I had installed the timing belt with the crank set at 15 BTDC. It ran OK but man does it run good now! And I was able to do the job without removing the lower timing belt cover (and crank pulley, and Air conditioner compressor, and powere steering pump... are they guys who write the Hyanes manuals on glue????)
