Hi-
I am so sorry that you have had to deal with this for so long. On some level I can identify. From Jan-June 2002 I had a four 1/2 year old boy in my home. He had very similar problems. In fact some times he would soil his pants 7-8 times per day. Doctors were not helpful, we went to several. There were some emotional issues due to his home life, but he was capable of using the toilet, understood its purpose, and even would use it if and when he felt like it. He had to go back to his mother (overseas) in June and so I don't know of his progress. I had found a website that looked promising --

http://www.bedwetting.org/html/cleankid.htm

but, I don't know if they decided to use this program. Had he continued to stay with me, we would have gone this route in a hurry. They call the condition Encopresis. BTW we tried every imaginable way to help him along in this area, to no avail. If you are Christians, I would begin to pray for and with your son, teaching him that Jesus can help him with this. Also, at his age he should be at least partially responsible for cleaning himself and his clothing. Blessings to you.
