We are putting way too much emphasis on punishing the troops who commit these "atrocities". Like I said in my last post, it shouldn't be about holding them more accountable. They are acting in a way that helps them 'cope', so-to-speak, with war and death. Should they go unpunished? Not saying that... I truly believe they should be. But before I will condemn someone for taunting a kid with a bottle of water are accidentally killing an innocent civilian in a time of war, I will condemn the corruption of those evil men who put them there. Both must be looked at, but let's not focus completely on punishing the wrongdoers within the military, no matter how many or few there are.
