As I understand his post--which BTW I think brings out several interesting points. Still pondering it and wondering how to respond...

Anyway as I understand it, the Constitution has no authority on the issue of marriage, for example. That is an issue properly left to local decision makers--church, community, possibly state gov. I don't think he's saying at all that these vile activities should be condoned, only that the Fed Gov shouldn't be the one to "resolve" the issue. If we had left our local entities empowered instead of ennervated by federal meddling, if our local entities--church, families, communities--were healthy, these entities would be the ones stopping all the immorality.

At least that's how I understood the post.
