Subject: a few answers for now....

I would do day care in my home if I didnt already have a job for the summer...at the theatre.
It would be hard to do day care because of my husbands late hrs and the need to sleep in the mornings since starting in just a week or two he will start what we call the summer grind. 12 hr(more a lot of the time) days 6 days a week.
Since we live in a modular home(double wide) and since young children would be very...wellllll.....not quite, there goes his sleep.

My twins are not graduating this spring as they are only going to be in the 11th grade next fall.
They are taking drivers ed and going to get their permits once their birth certificats come in the mail at a cost of 30$...which we could not afford.

Our car insurence is only about 60 a month but we cant even afford that. We were told our insurence would triple with both of them driving and no matter how nice that would be there is no way to come up with the extra money.

They are looking for jobd but many employers dont like to hire someone under 18 because of all the rules they have to go by when hiring someone younger.

Right now we have called in all of my dd's babysitting people just to get the money for the extra things she needs for prom(she got asked by a senior). She has a dress given to her by my cousins daughter up in Michigan along with shoes gloves(need to be replaced) and necklace and earrings).

My job at the preschool will be over come this thurday as they do not have summer school.
But I will be increassing my hrs at the theatre by about 20 hrs a week...I work 12 hrs a week at a different positition at the theatre.
The plus side of working at the theatre I get to spend some time with my dh which is something I would not be able to do if I did not work there as he would be gone more then home. Plus my kids can spend some time at the theatre with us as long as they are behaved.
:-D
So I have the best of both worlds. I get to earn a wee bit of money for bills(not for extras) and I get to be with my darling husband and I am available to my children.

Our public trans is a joke. It dont come out this far(where we live) and we only have ONE bus for the whole town and its a mini bus..it only goes to a few places a few times a day.
It dont run on weekends at all.
Our town...well our county is small. In the whole county we only have about 30,000!
When the university is in we have about 18 to 19,000 people in our town but when it breaks for summer we loose just about half of our population...so a lot of businesses cut back on their open hrs during the summer..just when high school kids need work.

Their grade arnt good, but improving. They all had a drop in their grade when Dustin died(it will be two yrs this May 29th).

our car is paided for.

We cant cut corners by getting a cheaper house and thus cheaper payments. We pay under 400 a month and that includes taxes and insurance....I dont think we could find something cheaper that would fit our family size.

OH about the prom...we have battered with a lady who will do her hair for her babysitting for her one 3yr old boy.

The biggest proble I have is that most of their friends that have parents that can just pay an extra 100 to 200$ a month for car insurance without batting an eye. Or they can go out and pay 500 to 1000 for prom stuff without batting an eye. Or they can go out and buy their little darlings brand new cars when they turn 16.
We cant do that.
Most of our kids dont have a problem with that except for one and she at the age of 16 just dont understand.
She gets mad at me when she tells me she WANTS something and I tell her to get a job.
But she is learning which is the point.
She is really very sweet but has to many friends who can afford things.

This coming week is going to be insane.
I worked door and cleaning at the theatre last night.
On Thurs at 1201 am we are opening Star Wars, on Thursday morning it is the last day of preschool. Thursday night is preschool graduation...I'm already in tears over missing them and they arent even gone yet! So during their last days I will be working extra at the theatre with stars wars! Then this comming Saterday I will be going to Kings Island up in Cincinnati or in the general area with my youngest dd's(age 12) middle school band as a chaperon...taking with me not only her but my 16 yr old dd and my almost 10 yr old dd. I get to help keep track of these middle school kids.
I get to be in a bus load of middleschool kids BOTH there and BACK!!!!
Its not really that hard I have done this for several yrs now both with the middle school band and the high school band.
I am giving a list of kids like the rest of the chaperons and we all meed at certains times in a certain place about 3 times. If one of the kids on a list does not show up the teaher goes and looks for them. When found and without a good excuse that kids gets to hang out with Mr Band Teacher for the rest of the day! NO ONE wants that!
:-D

Life just gets crazier and crazier!!!!
At least its not a boring life!
:-D
