Author: Jallya::Cariad, Terrun::Llynmynydd, and of course the Plenyt!
Subject: ...

Llynmynydd inclines his head as each compliment is received, ignoring the mental snickering his Bonded is indulging in. Careful, fuzz ball! Can't have that valuable green and gold head of yours exploding...can we? A barely discernable growl - no mean feat for such a large creature - rises in his throat, as he snaps his reply. - I assure you, Bonded, this head - more valuable than yours - is in no danger of leaving it's present state. Of course, these claw covers come off easily, don't they? Would you like to dispute my argument?- the snickering stops, or, at least decreases in level. Llynmynydd chooses to ignore Terrun for the time being. The Dwi had never fathered as much as a Meuh - wait till Jallya got pregnant. Satisfied that - per usual, as he saw it - Terrun was being a smug, loveable idiot, the green and gold Wytti turns his attention to projecting a reassuring aura of success and, well reassurance. It was too bad there were so many girls. Though last litter, there had been plenty of males...And there was Shak and Rhaki. Even if both had brought a sister (in Shak's case, a ward).

Cariad was delighted with her gifts, and she caused the disappearance of the birds with her usual grace, listening with half and ear to Jallya and Terrun's murmur of acceptance of the praise they received. A brief nod of her head went to the brother and sister, and as she finished the third pheasant, another arrives, though she seems to be surveying the Plenyt, testing her chances maybe? Or weighing their worth? Cariad didn't bristle, those who weren't meant to, didn't Bond. And Jallya had done something similar. As Kietra arrived and presented her gifts, Cariad gave some of the food to Llynmynydd, just back from scouting duty, even Whiteflower's best fare couldn't completely take the edge of his hunger. She kept the water for herself. The stone she nudged back to the girl, indicating that her children would enjoy playing with it, they liked shiny things, and it was hard enough that they wouldn't break it.

Too much.

As more water arrives - a crystal dish and phial, both beautiful gifts, quite worthy of her! - Cariad gently laps away, before allowing her 'Mate to take some to. The deliciously clear water is refreshing; cutting into her throat like a cool knife...A nod goes to Tiamat and her ball. At Ithildin's zealous greeting, the great Wytti is slightly taken aback, not knowing what to make of the effusive praise. After a brief pause, she too, gets a nod. Kala's nod is almost instantaneous, the beautiful flowers fill her sensitive nose with a myriad of fresh scents. A Wytti smile for the girl's imagination - if she could keep them out of the claws, she would deserve her braids and her playmate.

At the twin's entrance - she already had a pair in mind for them, though one could never really predict who would choose whom - she is glad for something practical. The book is nudged towards Jallya, with an accompanying, -Read it. You'll need the information.- and the sheaths fitted on Llynmynydd's claws. That was good, he could intimidate people more without harming them if his claws here encased in metal. They too get a stately nod.

At Rádia's compliments, Cariad gently inclines her head, the girl was obviously one of the more enthusiastic, and she seemed likely to Bond, not only had she made a mental effort, there had been a physical one as well. Thoughtfully, Cariad began to think that perhaps there would be some sharing among the playmates. Finally, Niku speaks and Cariad acknowledges her as well, now there was just the pale-blue haired girl now.

The Plenyt had previously been absorbed in their play, look up as one and head for those they have picked out as their preffered playmate and possible future partner. The eldest butts against Kala's leg, and then herds Tiamat towards her, his almond fur shivers in anticipation. The purple and white Fach hesitates, her copper eyes shifting from from Rhaki to Riku before deciding on them both - as her eldest brother, and looking expectantly at them. She wasn't going to have to think up the game, now was she? Cariad gestures to both Kendra and Rádia, pointing in the direction of Rhowe'non and her silver-gray companion, who is looking quite refreshed, but who also appears that she wouldn't mind two more pairs of hands stroking her. The two blue and black youngsters head for the twins. Cariad points towards Niira playing a game with her youngest daughter and second Bach and hopes that the girl will get the hint. Unlike Afon she did not possess the ability to speak with all Dwi.

Her work done for now, the Rian settles back against her 'Mate, her red fur causing the two to resemble a pair of Midwinter decorations. Both watch the play of the Dwi and Plenyt, metallic eyes calm.
