Well that's the reason, I guarantee you your little girl came from a puppymill. No responsible, ethical breeder sells to puppy shops and had little to no human contact until you purchased her. The first 12 weeks of any puppy's life is critical to their development and human socialization is a must during that critical stage.

A BYB is a backyard breeder which is the term for those who do not breed responsibly (basically a small time or scaled down puppymill), they do no genetic health testing prior to breeding, they sell to anyone who has the $$, generally do not require spay/neuter contracts, and the list goes on.

Most CCs are very cat-like. Just keep working with her and don't let her manipulate you. Cresties are MASTER manipulators. I still believe that putting her in an obedience class may go a LONG wy towards your bonding.
