Thanks John! Those are all good advices, as always.
Just to give you more information. I do have RAIN
(1.0?) installed and I do note the icon on the
toolbar having 3 rain drops on it. I also use a solid
background (no pattern), set screensaver to a
blank screen after 1 min, suspend to ram after
a while, and no animation (toolbar does not
autohide). I thought I did all the right things,
but still 2-2.5 hour battery life. I do not
want to turn off L2 cache though.
Does waterfall have more cooling effect compared
to RAIN? I think I either need a bigger battery
(much preferred) or two batteries. I am also
interested in how long battery last for other
Vibrant LS owner (Win98) in order to determine
whether I have an underspec battery or not.
In any case, I think I will go ahead and order
another battery from them.
