I have some additional questions/clarifications though. Is it smart to buy one and store it for a year until the current battery dies? Or would the "new" battery no longer hold a charge either? Is anyone aware of a company that can recycle old battery packs...keep the same case but replace the batteries? Or is anyone aware of a company that makes Transmonde "equivalent" batteries. I know that laptop manufacturers get their parts from larger suppliers and that several laptops may share the same battery style.
