Hey all,

Any of you with Vibrant LS's... have you had problems when playing MP3s where the sound will skip and sometimes never stop skipping (by that I mean the whole computer freezes up but keeps repeating the sound). The only way I can find to fix this is to hold down the power button. :(

I've tried finding newer drivers for the Maestro-2 card but alas, ESS apparently relies on the manufacturer to distribute drivers. Since our particular manufacturer is no longer with us, where do we get them? :(

I've also installed DirectX 7.0 on a recommendation of a friend but the problem still occurs. I don't know what to do next and this problem is getting very irritating.

It only happens when I play MP3s, though. Not CDs, movies, or anything else... so it seems. Maybe it's something specific to decoding mp3s? I've been using Sonique to play MP3s.
