Gordon
Looks like you are the main record keeper. I have posted a couple of replies etc on this website and written to a couple of the E-mail addresses.

I was at the school between 1949 (I think) and 1952. Big number was 337, have a lot of memories to share with old boys. As one gets older these memories and recollections become more precious.

My sharing partner there was Brian Young, we were the best of friends but unfortunateley I lost contact with him when I came to Australia in 1954.
I can remember the Captain from the team photo posted, it was Capt Taylor, his second in command was a Mr. Britain. Can'y remember the sports teachers name but I do remember him and that he later taught Maths.

I would be very interested if you have any records of names of boys who were there in my time and if any have E-mail addresses. Mine is fsyfsy@hotmail.com and would be very pleased to hear from yourself or any of the old boys.

I went to sea as a deckboy on the MV Regent Springbok and when sailing out of Avonmouth did what we all vowed to do which was to dip the ensign when passing the school. I did it many times and did even visit once and slept there O'night.

Did six trips on the Springbok backwards and forwards to Trinidad, then about 8 months coastal work on th Pass of Melford and finally about 6 months on the MV Woodford.

Would appreciate any replies as posted messages or direct to my private E-mail which is fsyfsy@hotmail.com

WHy not all of you ex boys start a roll here of name and years there, contact details etc.

Regards to all

Frank Young (Formerly Raggett)
