I'm not sure just where the "East House" was at the NNS, but if the twins' father was a catering officer at the school, then it was probably what we referred to as being "In the woods" adjacent to the school. Several staff lived in houses or cottages there in the thirties, forties and fifties.
The only Primary school that I knew of in that area was St.Peters in the village high street, quite a way from the school, but no doubt there was a school bus.
What remain of the Nautical School records are deposited at the Bristol Records Office and can be viewed at the discretion of the Records Office.
