I have to agree with Kate's fundamental point. The name of the group is BetterBuffyFics and the only criteria for reccing fics should be that the reccer considers them to be, y'know, worthy.
And I think the poll categories are skewy. 'Cause it's implying that fic that deals with sexual stuff is less worthy (using that word again but it's the only one I can think of.) If it's good writing, it's good writing.
There are plenty of things that are recced on the list that don't interest me at all - sometimes I'll take a chance and read 'em, sometimes I don't.
It's all about free thought - a wonderful concept!
