^The clouds were ok. There wernt many darnit. Oh well. Mabey on the way home. As for the others... Nope, we fly either a C-9 Navy jet or a chartered Civilian jet, either way it is cramped and uncomfortable. Right now I live in a condemened run down 4 man room. No TV, No fridge, nothing. All I have is a bed with 2 sheets and a blanket and a very flat pillow. There is one light in the room but it isnt bright enough to read under. No phone lines no nothing. I have to use the pay phones to call my wife which means I stand in a 2 hour long line. I have to wait an hour to use an internet computer in the library which is really slow and crappy. Thats why I havent posted in a while! :> I am not an officer, I am enlisted and a Corporal. I am what you call a non-commisioned officer. Yes, I do tell all the Marines under me what to do and am in a command position. I am basically the liason between the Staff Sergeants and the Other Marines. I get $22 a day which barley pays for my food. They havent paid me anything yet becasue it was so short notice so I am paying out of my own pocket for everything... meaning that my wife can barely pay the bills right now.

My wife get lonely as do I. She goes home with her family whenever I deploy so she isnt all alone. I just suck it up and deal with it. Im used to it. I have to buy phone cards to call home, and I work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. I work from 6am to 6pm. We are not aloud to drive or rent cars. We can go off base but we have to pay for a cab. If I have time I can go to the base theater and watch a movie or go to the 7 day store and buy drinks and stuff. I mainly go to the E-Club on my off time and do a little drinking to relax and take the edge off. I dont go getting drunk or anything. Mainly just drink and play pool. No pay bonus or anything... all part of the job.

I would like 60 grand a year but it is so impracticle. How could you justify paying a 22 year old with a high school degree 60 grand starting? Everyone would join the service and no one would work in civilian jobs. I appreciate your respect but do not be angry. Only do two things. Whenever you see an American flag, look at it and think of all the people that died for our freedom and offer them a silent prayer of thanks. 2> Write your congressman and tell him your feelings on our situation and under funding. Thats the only way anything will ever get fixed.

Well my time on the computer ran out so I have to go. I will try to post more tommarrow.
