People don't get it yet because our corporate media won't tell the truth, but America's imperialistic debt party is gonna go the way of the Roman Empire. Certainly, this war with Iraq will just be like a quick bullet to that attitudes dome instead of the rapidly consuming cancer on it.
The jingoism in this country has made television unwatchable! Those paid for idiots posing as "journalists" and their megacorporate puppetmasters act like this war is goig to be a cakewalk. If the sandstorms don't screw up our soldiers weapons (the M-16 for example, jams at the drop of a hat), chemical and bioweapons will slow them down. And urban fighting has a way of evening the odds-a few dozen Warsaw Jews in 1943 held off a fully equipped SS division. Saddam Hussein has passed out AK's and RPG-7's to his population; some of them pissed off at US heavy handedness will fight, hard.
Have you read or heard of the rumors that way back at the Seattle WTO protests(goddamn it feels like a DECADE AGO!), operatives made themselves up like anarchists to justify a police state crackdown on the protestors? A whole lot of the rowdy ones are recieving a gov check, I guarantee it.
Be very careful when attending those protests, Sis; even if those triggerjerk fools in uniform there are cameras rolling, and they're not from CNN or the Bill O'Reily news. And, I would suggest having a place to go that doesn't have your name on it in some databank or registry when that walking corpse Tom Ridge bumps the "terror alert" to red. That's when full blown martial law will be in effect. People who gave the govt. lip and 'tude and think they can do it then will be rounded up and thrown in some homeland security camp.

What happens when this longshot of a war fails? We lose a major hunk of our fighting power. The oil states switch to trading euros for oil instead of dollars and the trillions of dollars currently floating overseas will repatriate here causing hyperinflation. Fuel will be scarce and for a continent spanning nation built on the train, plane and automobile that is a economic death blow. And without gas, the trucks and the trains cannot ship produce or production across the country and scarcities in all manner of commodities will result. Just imagine how the cities will explode in desperate riots, angry white men will grab their AKs, how we all are going to go cold and hungry.
Any way to convince our troops going into Iraq is national suicide?
