Subject: Radical Religious Right would defend Condit, if he were a Rebublican
In reply to: Betsy 's message, "Yo, Mole," on 11:30:49 07/23/01 Mon

Accoring to his voting record as scored by the ACLU, Condit is an ally of the conservative forces that currently have a stranglehold on our U.S. Congress:

Rep. Condit's 104th Congress voting record

Rep. Condit's 105th Congress voting record

If you closely watch how right-wingers such as Senate Minority Leader Trent Lott and other irresponsible parties make power plays to get him to leave office, so they can get a GOP backed candidate to win a special election in that district, you would understand how ruthless many of the Republicans in government at the federal level truly are. To them, having another House member with a "R" next to their name is more important than the actual floor votes taken in Congress. Hopefully, Ms. Levy will be located and all of this conservative 'buzzard circling' will be chalked up as another waste of time, just as it was when they attempted to remove Clinton from office.
