I've noticed that there have been a lot of "disappointed" fans posting their thoughts about the finale. They are upset that Mac and Harm did not work out a lot of their issues during the episode. I thought that it was a good ending considering DPB reputation with the show and the shippers. At first I was a bit disappointed, like the others, that they didn't spend a lot of time talking about their relationship until I watched the episode again.

Personally, I haven't really rewatched a lot of the eppies from the last two season so when the beach scene came up from ATWII it really hit me. In the scene, Mac was complaining about how when a couple starts to dissect a relationship it just ends up dead, and now I'm starting to see just how great the finale was (even though the M/H scenes were too short and there was too much Vic).

I think the ending fit because they have such a deep connection and a long relationship/friendship, even if it always wasn't smooth sailing, they still knew each other's minds, hearts, and souls really well. I think for them they really just needed to put the past behind them, and start thinking about their future....together.
