I think I can safely assume that most of us are thrilled with the 7 1/2 minutes we got of Harm and Mac. Heck I was told I was kicking up my legs when they kissed. I was so excited. LOL

But why just 7 1/2 minutes? I don't buy the argument that the ep was done when JAG got cancelled. In business, you have a contingency plan preparing for a possibility no matter how small.

It wasn't just a small chance that JAG would get cancelled, but even if they thought there was, they should have prepared for it. They could have done it very easily.

They should have filmed the frocking scene. One measily scene to show Harm get promoted and Mac proud of him. Then they could have just added in more memories. It wouldn't have taken a lot of resources to do so.

Instead, the B story took up more time then the A story. They knew the show was cancelled so why put Vic in an ordinary storyline? That served no purpose at all. All it did was to break the mood of the real story that most of us wanted. SUPY and I were making faces at each other during those scenes. Of course, alcohol did contribute to our behaviour. LOL

I know there is the argument that if they spent more time on Harm and Mac, they could have screwed it up. But this is the show we've loved for ten years and our favorite couple deserved more time getting together.

Having said all that. I never expected so much kissing and obvious HMS and a marriage. That made it all worth while.
