* "Why does she get to ride Bailey?" Michelle whined "He's MY pony" she continues, her little voice getting louder with each word. "Because he is riding Dun and i can't ride any other horses" Hannah replies angrily "i don't want to ride your stupid little pony, anyway" Hannah yells. "Girls!! Thats enough" Saddle exclaims. Michelle, you will ride Barnum, Hannah, you can ride Bailey, i'm going to ride Fantasy and Mikki will ride Dun. Mikki and i will be riding ahead, Barnum and Bailey will not be able to keep up so Hannah, you will be responsible for taking care of Michelle while we're riding" Saddle tells them. "Fine" Hannah replies and stomps off to groom and tack up Bailey, Michelle stomping along behind her to tack up Barnum. Mikki tacks up Dun and Saddle tacks up Fantasy. "Hurry up girls" Saddle calls as she slips a bit into Fantasy's mouth. Hannah and Michelle walk out of the barn, each leading a small black pony, both pouting. they mount up and start to walk behind Fantasy and Dun, when the leading horses pick up a trot, they both trot after them, then when the leading horses canter they hold back, Michelle could not canter on her own yet. they slow to a walk after awhile and slowly walk along the trails, an unhappy silence between them. soon they see Saddle and Mikki riding back to them, Fantasy and Dun breathing hard. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM!?" Hannah screams, seeing Dun's breathing "Nothing, we cantered up and down some hills, great for conditioning them" Mikki says "MOM!!! how could you let him do that to Dun!!? Hannah exclaims angrily "Dun is fine, Hannah. he'll catch his breath" Saddle replies calmly. "You've worked him harder before" Hannah frowns and turns Bailey around and they all head back to the barn. Hannah quickly hoses Bailey and turns him out then stomps up to the hayloft. Michelle follows soon afterwards. Mikki hoses Dun off, cleans his bridle and turns him out, the catches Hot Chocolate and schools the colt on the flat. Chocolate is very responsive and moves willingly off his aids. "Your doing great with him" Saddle tells Mikki as he cools Chocolate out and turns him out. Mikki smiles and nods "he's a great colt, thanks for buying me him. we're going to go far together" Mikki goes to work with the other youngsters and Hannah works with Sugar, then they go play with the puppies. Lilly flies around the courtyard of the barns, chasing sticks, leaves and anything else that moves and Tiny curls up on Hannah's lap for a nap*
